Fun Fact #2
The Slater Mill was once located in North Providence.
If you are a Rhode Island native, you may be asking yourself how that is even possible,

considering the fact that the Slater Mill has always been in its Downtown Pawtucket location. Well, the answer is simple. Pawtucket was once a village of North Providence. In 1828, Pawtucket was incorporated into its own town, but it was much smaller than what it is
today. In 1874, a large section of eastern North Providence, including the location of the Slater Mill, was added to Pawtucket.
